SEAProTI Launches Translator Seal to Certify Medical Document Translations
The Southeast Asian Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (SEAProTI) has launched a translator seal to certify the quality of medical and medical device document translations. This seal is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of translations, aiming to elevate the standards of medical document translations in Thailand to meet international benchmarks.
Wanitcha Sumanat, President of SEAProTI, stated, "Our association has introduced this seal to certify the quality of specialized translations in various fields, including law, industry, engineering, accounting, and medical devices submitted to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The seal can also be used to certify these translations."

About SEAProTI Certified Translators and the Translator Seal :
According to Article 46.1 and 46.3 of Article 46, Chapter 9 of the association's regulations, as registered with the Ministry of Interior of the Kingdom of Thailand and published in the Royal Gazette, Volume 138, Part 83 Ng, dated November 4, 2021, certified translators and translation certifiers must perform translations and certifications according to the procedures specified in Article 47.1 and 47.2 of Article 47, Chapter 10 on Translator Seals and Certification of Translations, and Article 48 on Certification of Translations.
These regulations have been in effect since March 25, 2024. The certification of translations becomes valid when the translator and translation certifier sign and stamp the translator seal, with all necessary details completed in the seal.
